OpenLink is seeking a Product Specialist to support sales activities related to our Findur (Financial) trading solution. The successful candidate will possess direct work experience in the Front Office (preferred) and/or Back Office of major financial institutions. The Product Specialist will have in-depth, hands-on involvement creating and delivering presentations to articulate the value proposition of the Findur (Financial) product. You will manage numerous projects ranging from business development initiatives to implementation and system evaluations. You will work closely with a Sales Manager and other team members to gather requirements, prepare and conduct product demonstrations, write proposals, and conduct sales workshops.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Demonstrated high academic achievement resulting in a business and/or technical degree. MBA, CPA and/or CFA a strong plus.
- 2 – 10 years of industry experience. Relevant experience includes (but is not limited to) trading, portfolio management, market/credit risk management, cash management, liability management, accounting and operations roles within a financial institution; OR … project management, product consulting, sales/sales support or technology roles within a financial software firm.
- Detailed knowledge of trading and back-office processing in pertinent functional areas
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong technical skills – even though this is a pre-sales position, the candidate must be very “tech savvy” and technically self-sufficient
- Strong ability to map client’s business and technology requirements to practical system capabilities
- Understand the competitive offering landscape in the market and be able to show OpenLink’s unique value proposition
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with the system and closely with the salespeople and client prospects. Verbal and presentation skills are critically important.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Previous software company experience or experience using or implementing vendor products is highly desirable. Some of these solutions include Murex, Summit, Sungard, Calypso, Trema, and Opics.
