Highly motivated and competent Analyst Programmer who relishes a real business/technology challenge is required to work within our London development team. The successful applicant will have at least three years commercial development experience, with a strong emphasis in analysis and design.

OpenLink’s Connex framework provides XML-based services through Java components for developing real-time, fault-tolerant and scaleable interfaces to and from OpenLink’s Endur/Findur trading and risk management application.

The successful applicant will work closely with Business Analysts, other developers and QA to develop and maintain Connex interfaces. Proven client-facing skills would be an advantage since this position may involve extended client site working with some international project opportunities.

The role typically involves around 50% coding (XML/Java/C/AVS scripting) within the full development life cycle of a project. Developers work in small teams and often have sole ownership of a complete project. The role offers a more customer facing, business focused role than most developer positions and is a great opportunity for exposure to the finance/commodity markets.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• At least 3 years commercial experience with Java, C or VB
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (Sybase, Oracle or SQL server)
• Requirement capture and design/analysis experience
• Event-driven programming
• Ideally knowledge of or interest in Capital markets, treasury or commodities
• Degree in computer science or numerate subject
• A self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
