Global Energy Back-Office

Energy Operations Re-defined

The Global Energy Back-office (GEB) solution focuses on productivity improvement and cost reduction by streamlining back-office processes and workflows and eliminating manual workarounds throughout the entire life-cycle of transaction management, from start to finish.

What GEB Does:

The Endur-based GEB automates and optimizes an extensive range of traditional back-office tasks such as trade confirmations, settlements, accounting and end-of-day reporting, (sub-ledger posting, standard system reports and integrated third-party reporting tools). GEB also helps manage cash forecasting, profit and loss attribution, reserve calculation and/or distribution, regulatory reporting, tax calculations, balance generation and financial settlement details.

In addition, GEB's Accounting Manager uses a rules-based approach that allows you to model your chart of accounts exactly as desired, auto-correct ledger entries, automate FX translation, generate multi-currency and multi-year P&Ls, and address full FAS 133 and IAS 39 compliance requirements.

GEB features an extensive library of standard system reports and integration with third-party reporting tools.

What Makes GEB Different

GEB's open and flexible back-office configuration facilities allow for a high degree of system customization so GEB can blend easily into your existing environment. It also leverages its STP and automation facilities to eliminate any bottlenecking tasks. GEB's robust integration tools play a key role in addressing whatever connectivity requirements you may have, once again leveraging all of your existing investments such as trade capture, scheduling, and risk systems in a seamless, tightly integrated environment.

To protect the integrity of your production data, we have endowed GEB with the most vigorous security and auditing facilities. The system maintains a full audit trail, showing details on Who, When, and What has changed. GEB also forms an important component of the larger OpenLink Energy family, providing other front, middle, and logistic solutions. In other words, if a future requirement arises in any one of the solutions, GEB can readily extend "seamlessly" to cover other functional areas mostly by just switching on a new OpenLink module. This represents a huge saving in implementation alone!

Finally, we built GEB on OpenLink's NGX platform, the most advanced, scalable and reliable technical platform for your demanding back-office requirements.

GEB's open and flexible back-office tools will help you conclude transactions faster and more easily than will competing products.
