Completing its front- to back-office transaction processing technology for the gas markets, OpenLink's optional gMotion product for gas scheduling provides the logistics coverage necessary for trading in today's North American markets. Designed for physical market participants, gMotion supports the creation, management and scheduling of Endur-booked and nominated volumes within an electronic data interchange (EDI) compliant structure. An optional product, yet fully integrated, it fulfills the logistics functionality required by physical gas traders and schedulers within Endur's robust deal capture, risk management and operational software solution.

The use of gMotion allows organizations to improve current storage and imbalance capabilities, manage and value storage balances, and allocate as well as utilize best available volumes. Combined with a powerful tariff rates database for computing transportation and storage charges, gMotion rounds out Endur with proven support of physical gas transactions.

The Nomination Creation screen of gMotion provides a comprehensive one-day perspective that includes all unscheduled purchases, sales and exchange deals. Schedulers can move gas to or from interconnections and pools, as well as into and out of storage, park and loan, and imbalance accounts.

The Nomination Management screen of gMotion allows schedulers to easily query for and modify existing nominations. Schedulers can quickly alter existing nominations or "copy and paste" records to speed data entry.

With the Quantity Management screen you can update scheduled, allocated and actual quantities for each nomination and any related receipt or delivery deals. Fully integrated within Endur, gMotion ensures that changes in deal quantities will immediately update the best available volume used for valuation, risk and settlement. Any unbalanced nominations will create a new long or short position within the appropriate imbalance account.
