End users and Trading Houses rank OpenLink #1 in Energy Risk Magazine’s Software Rankings 2007

NEW YORK , NY, March 12, 2007 /Business Wire/ — OpenLink, a leading provider of cross asset trading, risk management and operations processing software solutions – announced today that in the recent Energy Risk Magazine (www.energyrisk.com) 2007 Software Rankings report they received a 1st place ranking when respondents were asked which company they see as the ‘market leader of energy trading and risk management systems’. Additionally, OpenLink was ranked 1st in 8 out of the 12 categories as well as finishing as one of the top three vendors in all remaining categories.

The Energy Risk survey looks at software experiences based on the functionality, usability, performance, return on investment, and reliability of their products and services. Over a two-month period, Energy Risk conducted an extensive online poll of energy companies and banks and asked respondents, in order of preference, who their top risk management software vendor and top software package was. Every response was checked and verified. There were more than ten positions in most categories. Energy Risk, an Incisive Media publication, has published only the top three for each in the March 2007 report.

OpenLink received first-place in the Risk Management categories of Market Risk and Modelling, and, in the Trading category, the company ranked first place in Trade Execution, Risk Metrics and Ease of Use. In the Customer Services category, OpenLink ranked first-place in Best Software Support and also in Best Knowledge of the Market in which Software Operates. OpenLink took second-place in Trade Capture in the Trading category, and, in the Front to Back Processes category rankings included first-place for Integrated Trading and Risk, second-place for Deal Capture and Trade Confirmation. OpenLink achieved third-place rankings for Credit Risk in the Risk Management category, for Modelling in the Trading category, and for Straight-Through-Processing (STP) in the Front to Back Processes category.

“The decision by all respondents represents their tremendous belief in OpenLink and our Endur product and, once again, affirms OpenLink’s position as today’s leading provider of software solutions in the commodity space,” said Coleman Fung, OpenLink’s founder and CEO. “This annual recognition proves our dedication to producing value-added software and that client-service is our first priority.”
