OpenLink's 2006 'Wine Country' Worldwide User Conference
OpenLink Hosts more than 190 Clients from around the World
NAPA VALLEY, CA, /October 25, 2006/ — OpenLink, an energy and financial cross-asset, trading, risk management and operations processing software solutions provider, proudly announced the success of its 2006 Worldwide User Conference held at the Napa Valley Marriot in Napa Valley, California. OpenLink's 5th User Conference, this meeting was held Wednesday, October 18th through Friday, October 20th and was, once again, a resounding success. This year, as common to previous conferences, the goal was to provide all conference delegates with a user-friendly, power driven, tailored program that will help clients stay one step ahead in today's fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
During the first day, client-led Executive Business Forums touched on topics and critical issues common to all users of OpenLink's cutting edge applications. These notable speakers shared real world experiences covering a wide range of topics such as, The Power Market Gateway, Investing in Emissions, The Corporate Treasury Evolution, North American Gas Transportation and Storage Services, and the Innovation in Credit Derivatives. Additionally, the presenter from Nationwide Building Society discussed his hands on and Collaborative Implementation Project.
Traditionally, this two and a half-day conference provides OpenLink's clients and partners the time to discuss what improvements have been made over the past 18 months, as well as demonstrate how both financial and energy users can tackle today's daunting issues. This year's focus was primarily spread amongst all areas specific to today's Endur and Findur users.
Coleman Fung, founder and CEO of OpenLink noted, "This year's User Conference was our finest and most successful to date. In part, this conference is an opportunity for the company to give back to our clients and partners. In addition, it allows all parties to come together as a group and build on core development initiatives so that together we can capitalize on what will be a different trading, risk management, and operations processing software landscape by the next time we meet as a group. We especially look forward to seeing everyone at the 2008 conference!"
